PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
- Region: España País Vasco
- Sector: Wine Red
Of the more than fifty places that make up the Labastida vineyard, we select a minimum of two plots and a maximum of five per term. The vast majority of the vines in these vineyards are Tempranillo where they coexist with some Garnacha. Picota cherry color with violet reflections and medium-high layer. Aromas of licorice, lollipop and red fruits, which highlight the character of the vintage, intermingled with hints of pastries, coffee and balsamic nuances. Sweet entry into the mouth that gives way to a balanced acidity that provides freshness. In the final step through the mouth, the wine is round and elegant. The aftertaste is once again reminiscent of the intensity and aromatic profile of the wine.

Solagüen. Unión de Cosecheros Labastida
Founded in 1964, it produces its own wines from its 300 hectares of vineyards and is registered in the Qualified Denomination of Origin of the La Rioja.
We are in the most Atlantic area of La Rioja and not only La Rioja, but Rioja Alavesa. The Toloño mountain range, with its 1,200 m high peak, protects our vineyards from the Atlantic wind and rains and, at the same time, we take advantage of the Mediterranean winds brought by the Ebro river, resulting in a perfect balance of precipitation, with days warm and cool nights, which makes the vineyards of Labastida one of the best in La Rioja.
