In the past, the winegrower from Labastida used to plant Viura in the highest part of each vineyard, what we know as “cabezadas”. Our old Viura vineyards today come from those plantations. We also grow plots of Tempranillo Blanco that are also included in this wine. Straw yellow in color with greenish reflections. Clean and bright. Very clean and intense on the nose with a predominance of aromas of tropical fruit, especially banana. Floral and citrus nuances also appear. Sweet and balanced on the palate, thanks to the contrast between the acidity and the work of the lees in the tank that provide structure.

Founded in 1964, it produces its own wines from its 300 hectares of vineyards and is registered in the Qualified Denomination of Origin of the La Rioja.
We are in the most Atlantic area of La Rioja and not only La Rioja, but Rioja Alavesa. The Toloño mountain range, with its 1,200 m high peak, protects our vineyards from the Atlantic wind and rains and, at the same time, we take advantage of the Mediterranean winds brought by the Ebro river, resulting in a perfect balance of precipitation, with days warm and cool nights, which makes the vineyards of Labastida one of the best in La Rioja.
